I'm a stay at home, homesteading, homeschooling mama. Who used to be a jet setting model and actress. People who knew me then find it hard to believe that this is my life now. But I am truly living out my dream, one farm animal at a time!
Welcome to the Homesteading Diva! We went from a small garden and a few back yard chickens to buying some property and moving across four states to start building our mini homestead. If you find yourself yearning for the simpler life like I did, but don't quite know where to start, you're in the right place! While I'm no expert in homesteading, I can say that we had the dream and we made it happen. If our journey can help you in any way, then I consider this blog a success.
Our homesteading journey started with us living full time in an RV for 1.5 years. I'll share tips on how our family of 4 survived in that small space. We've built a thriving garden, preserved some of our harvest, expanded our livestock of chickens and cows and can barely keep track of all the DIYs that come with having a homestead. Keep checking back to see what our next ventures are! I'll be sharing the good, the bad and the fabulous!
Speaking of fabulous, while many of my days are makeup free and looking homeless, I haven't loss my diva tendencies and still ENJOY wearing makeup and all the pretty things. So I'll be sharing that too. Just because you want to become a homesteader doesn't mean you have to completely lose yourself and start dressing like Laura Ingalls. No offense if you do, I freakin' love Little House on the Prairie. I'm just saying, make it what you want it. There's no right or wrong way. You don't have to become some cookie cutter mold of what people think a "homesteader" is. In fact, I challenge you to break that mold and make it what's best for YOU and your family. Happy 'steading!!
